My joint account with :iconashurie:
:icontf-girls-in-disguise:

Sorry for the angry rant but just when I thought I sorted my debts out with Telstra, they send the debt collector's onto my mother, demanding I pay a $371 bill which was paid back in February.

Personally I believe this to be a major clerical fuck up as I have not lived at my mum's address for 12 months and I have given them my new home address so why is she getting the bills? Also why did it 4 months to send the debt collector's? They're a lot quicker than that. I hope to sort this shit out tomorrow after my lesson finishes.

Also my old landlord wishes me and my old house mate mystic-leo $95 for 6 months in water excess usage.....counting the first 6 months water excess that's a grand total of $155. Pardon me but how the fuck did that happen? Unless we left he shower running 24/7 I doubt our water excess would be that much. I'm not paying it until I see the bill because this land lord is incredibly dodgy, this woman wanted to call the cops on me because I disconnected my electricity account (as you do when moving out) and she wanted me to pay to reconnect it :iconfacepalmplz: I also "ruined" her life so to speak. Personally I'd love to tell her t take that bill and shove it up her ass but that might be a bad idea no matter how tempting it would be.

Health wise I went to the doctor's  last Tuesday because I had come down with yet another cold and they took a series of blood tests, I got my results back yesterday and all is well, however I may arthritis in a joint which I'll assume is my back but I won't know until I get my X-ray results back, *prays I won't get a CT scan*

In other news I caved in and bought a sewing desk, I just spent the last 2 or so hours putting the fucking thing together. Here's some advice do not buy furniture from the reject shop as there instructions do are worse to understand than Ikea's, but now that it's put together I can sew my cosplays for AVCon and help Ashurie with hers as well.....after I finish that never ending pile of homework I have yet to catch up on.

Until next time.

That sucks. My water and sewage bill runs me about $67.00 US each month. its expensive. You could do what a friend of mine did. moved to the US to run from creditors. haha. but he is a Kiwi... dunno if that makes a difference or not. Fingers crossed on your back too. Good luck!

yeah it pissed me off. I found out Telstra actually received the money so I have no idea where the money came from.

yeah, the debt collector's are investigating it as it doesn't make sense, then again when did Telstra make sense lol.
I think this due to the fact the former head from Mexico retired and pissed off with roughly $30 million of our dollars. He also said we were racist and backwards....no we just think you're a dick head!

Australia thinks I am a dick head? what did i ever do to it? its not like i called to see what direction the toilet flushes and then leave it on hold to rack up a huge collect call phone bill. Man a whole country hates me..............

Had the same thing with debt collectors last year. Our direct debit for the cable bill was stopped by the bank when we went in and settled the account in cash. The stupid company then tried to send us a bill for a missed payment even though nothing was due. We got in touch and they assured us it was "a clerical error" and the balance was clear - sure.

3 months later a county court judgement arrives, a debt collection has been assigned to recover the debt?!

in the end we threatened to go to the press and the ombudsman about it and the cabel company called off their dogs.

Prats, that could seriously have messed up our credit rating.

Jesus, it's amazing how companies can fuck up, and once your credit rating is messed up it's hard to fix.
I just talked to the debt collector's and they are investigating it for me, hopefully I can sort this shit out and put it behind me.

problem is a lot of this stuff is automated so even if they have received payment if some idot hasn't ticked the right box the payment still shows as unpaid - or in some systems paid AND due.

Once a task is generated to issue a bill, even if it was sent out in error the reminder process can roll on despite payment havening already been acknowledged and processed.

I used to work for an insurance company and we saw this all the time, someone gets a reminder task on their work queue and don't even check to see if they need to action it, they just send the reminder - once 3 lazy bastards in a row do this the account is black listed with no fault of the customer - then it takes management to kick ass before it gets investigated and sorted properly.

yeah it's a real shame that happens.
I just got a call from my case worker and the cheque they sent on my behalf was cashed by Telstra, so I'm not sure what's going on there >.>
